With London Design Festival just around the corner this is one of the events that we are particularly looking forward to seeing. Ireland-based Makers and Brothers are coming to London for London Design Festival to show their wares at the SCP, Design Department Store. Last week saw the first annual DIFFA Picnic by Design in New York City. The event is a summer design soiree that features picnic baskets designed by renowned and up and coming designers all for a good cause (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS). We loved this entry by New York-based Input Creative Studio.
Lovers of simple, well made furniture will undoubtedly be fans of UK brand Another Country. With the tag line ‘Simplify your life’, Another Country launched in 2010 and have produced two furniture collections since then – the third is about to be unveiled next month at Design Junction during London Design Festival.
Here at Lin Morris we love to learn about companies who make their products locally and who are doing their bit to keep a manufacturing traditions alive.
