A little Friday afternoon fun – this film was made by Dutch directors and artists Lernert & Sander, who were commissioned by Wallpaper* magazine to create create a film about Italian brand Brioni‘s bespoke tailoring for the Wallpaper* Handmade issue. Using a very refined hand as their muse, the film demonstrates, with elegance and humour, the skills and craftsmanship that go into making a Brioni suit.
These rather Gothic-looking lamps by Hermann Augut Weizenegger (Atelier HAW) are handmade from layers of very fine textile that have been threaded onto a wire frame. Called Botanica, the lamps are designed to look likeĀ voluminous blooms, full of lightness and transparency.
There is something a little nostalgic about the debut furniture collection from French brandĀ Colonel, so it comes as no surprise to find that they also run a Paris based vintage furniture store.
Earlier this week I wrote about RCA textiles student Ya-Wen Chou‘s The Hidden Beauty project. More recently she has been taking inspiration from the traditional patterns and culture found in her native Taiwan.
