We love the pared-back design of this brass cutlery set by Japanese designer Oji Masanori of Oji & Design. Featuring elegant, diamond-shaped handles and silver plated tips, the set is made in collaboration with metal workers at Futagami in Toyama-Takaoka City.
The Urban Billy tea set was sent over from Australian designer Elliat Rich, and it delights me, not only for its beautifully transparent and functional design, but also because it forced me to Google the term “Australian Billy.” (See below for one image result)
When browsing the globe through Google Earth, Brooklyn-based artist and programmer, Clement Valla, noticed that every now and then, there are a series of disjointed images, where the landscape seems to buckle and warp, distorting Google Earth’s ordinarily seamless representation.
