Brooklyn-based UM Project presented its new Craft System this weekend at Wanted Design, an up-and-coming satellite show of New York Design Week. The Craft System is a series of quirky lamps with a few simple bases with a seemingly endless array of custom designs. The result is a collection of retro futuristic robot-like lamps.

Founded by designer RISD dropout François Chambard, UM Project is a resolutely local NY brand with 75% of their work manufactured in UM’s Brooklyn shop and relying on a proven network of local and regional partners to do the rest.
