There is something a little nostalgic about the debut furniture collection from French brand Colonel, so it comes as no surprise to find that they also run a Paris based vintage furniture store.

Run by Isabelle Gilles and Yann Poncelet, Colonel’s first collection is inspired by the outdoor furniture of the 60s, from camping chairs to beach umbrellas.

We are particularly impressed by the Suzie floor and suspension lanterns which are made from re-purposed plastic material taken from American 60s camping chairs. When you look closely you can see that the familiar-looking material has been hand-sewn around the metal frames.

The duo describe the collection as “a contemporary re-reading of this universe, mixing colours, rhythms and patterns”
