New Collection at EDC

Last week we visited the launch of the new collection at London’s EDC showroom, a treasure trove of luxury furniture, textiles and decorative accessories. What we particularly admire about EDC is the way that they manage to balance highly decorative, opulent elements with pared back and refined forms. This season, the team combine pieces that use materials such as eucalyptus wood, swamped oak, chromed steel, burnished brass, bronze, gold leaf, precious stones and natural leathers.

What better time for hip New York-based concept fashion store Opening Ceremony to open up a pop-up shop in London than last weekend? For their first retail store in Europe, Opening Ceremony chose to collaborate with British furniture designer Faye Toogood who created a number of bespoke pieces to complement the shop’s architecturally deconstructed interior.
