Launched earlier this year, Soil is a new Japanese brand who make simple kitchen and bathroom products from a type of silica called kieselguhr. Kieselguhr is a soft, porous rock that’s heat resistant and has excellent insulating and water absorption properties making it perfect for use in wet areas. The products, available in three chalky colours, range from drying blocks and umbrella stands to food containers.
