There is nothing like a perfectly positioned bow tie to add a bit of old fashioned glamour to an outfit, and the cheerful colours and patterns of The Bow Club‘s spring/summer 2012 collection are particularly delightful. I love these crochet necklaces by Shingo Matsushita. Matsushita uses materials like silk, cotton, gold thread and pearls to create delicately precise necklaces, earrings and art pieces that are nothing like the frilly doilies that crochet draws to mind. The geometries of the jewelry are softened by rounded corners and a subtle, yet brilliant use of colour.

Despite working for a fashion forecasting company I can’t pretend that I know much about clothes myself, I’m much more of a chair person. However after watching all of the coverage of the various fashion weeks over the past month I wanted to feature something on the blog. So I decided to ask an expert in the form of my good friend Lara, who knows a lot more about fashion than I do.
