Pussel vases
Yesterday I made a visit to a small but perfectly formed exhibition of Spanish Design curated by Wallpaper* magazine and was particularly taken with the work of Apparatu, a Berlin based ceramic studio run by Spanish potter Xavier Mañosa. Born into a family of Potters, Xavier creates ceramics full of character, colour and a tactile, chalky texture. Apparatu is a family business headed up by Xavier who works with his parents on production in Sant Cugat near Barcelona and runs the offices from Berlin.
Arquitecturas vases
Last night Mañosa exhibited his Arquitecturas vases (above) and the Pleat series of lampshades (bottom) both made in collaboration with Mashallah Design.
