Am I the only one who had absolutley no idea that there was a Gelato University? It may sound too good to be true but it really does exist. The Carpigiani Gelato University is located in Anzola Emilia, Bologna and they recently collaborated with Wallpaper* Magazine to create two bespoke flavours for the launch of Wallpaper*’s Handmade issue during Milan Desgin Week. The flavours? A creamy cardamom and pistachio gelato, and a cool pineapple and basil sorbet. Watch the behind the scenes film below for some gelato-based facts.

Thank you so muche for your post! Only a detail: Carpigiani Gelato University is located in Anzola Emilia (Bologna), not Milan. It’s one hour by train. Not far but…another district! We hope to see you here and at Carpigiani Gelato Museum (the first in the world dedicated to artisan gelato) in the future!
