I keep seeing the work of Los Angeles based music video director Andrew Huang scattered across the internet, and I must say it’s pretty impressive stuff. Using a mix of live footage, computer animation and puppetry, Huang creates fantastical, technicolour organisms and dreamlike landscapes.

Shown below is a music video for Californian band Avi Buffalo, and SOLIPSIST - a three part psychedelic fantasy short film about otherworldly beings whose minds and bodies converge into one entity. Featuring elaborate costumes by Lindsey Mortensen, visual effects, and underwater puppets, the film won Huang the Special Jury Prize for Experimental Short category at the 2012 Slamdance Film Festival.
