With London Design Festival just around the corner this is one of the events that we are particularly looking forward to seeing. Ireland-based Makers and Brothers are coming to London for London Design Festival to show their wares at the SCP, Design Department Store. We have just rediscovered this brilliant set of 40 minimal poster designs by Austrian designer Albert Exergian. Launched back in 2010, the posters depict distinguishing elements derived from popular television shows, breaking them down to their most basic forms and colours .
Inspired by the traditional wedding anniversary materials list, Leanne Richards has created a range of products that explore how inexpensive materials can be used to make luxury goods.
This neat little set of desk objects by Nottingham Trent University graduate Max Phillips make clever use of switchable smart glass. A clock, a light and a container all look identical at first glance, however, when the objects are picked up, the panels of switchable glass turn from opaque to transparent, revealing the their individual functions.
