Occupying the space somewhere between design and art, Israeli studio, Naama Hofman, create sculptural, limited edition lighting designs that are made by skilled craftsmen in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Kilt Light cabinet by Claesson Koivisto Rune

Sadly we didn’t make it to this year’s edition of the wonderful Stockholm Furniture Fair but we did manage to keep an eye on what was happening via trusty design bible Disegno.

One stand in particular that caught our eye was that of Swedish brand Asplund, who launched a new collection designed around the theme of ‘Sense of Space’.

Originally designed in 2011 by Lausanne-based designer Tomas Kral, the Terracotta pendant and table lamps have been put into production by Spanish design brand PCM. The lamps are manufactured in the Extremadura region of Spain, an area known for its traditional terracotta jugs.
