Originally designed in 1933 by Alvar Aalto, 2013 marks the 80th anniversary of Artek‘s Stool 60. In celebration, Artek commissioned German art director Mike Meiré to customise the classic design. This colorful film documents the making of Meiré’s limited edition.

el B Auditorium Convention Center by Selgascano Architects 2012 © Iwan Baan

Completed this year, the el B auditorium by Madrid-based architecture firm Selgascano is definitely on our list of buildings to visit. Using an stunning colour palette of subtle pastels with bright accents of canary yellow and orange, the auditorium and performance space lines 1 kilometer of the docks of the harbour in Cartagena, Spain. I would like to know more by Lionel Esteve

I would like to know more is a 2009 artwork by French artist Lionel Esteve. A precise indigo line is painted in watercolor around a stone, creating a beautiful ink stained effect. The piece reminds us of these carefully manipulated flowers by Elspeth Diederix that also blur the line between the real and the fake.
