Very often the simple designs are the best designs. Back in 2002, before silicone kitchenware was a common sight in the kitchen, Ole Jensen designed this rubber Wasing-up bowl for Danish brand Normann Copenhagen. After getting frustrated with the inflexible and hard design of his stainless steel sink and other hard plastic washing-up bowls on the market, he came up with the idea to create a flexible washing-up bowl that would adapt to its contents.
The design has since gone onto win the 2002 Design Plus award and was included in Phaidon’s design encyclopaedia Design Classics, which presents the Washing-up Bowl as one of the 999 most innovative and influential designs of the past 200 years. It’s success is also partly due to it’s versatility, the Washing-up Bowl can also be used as a wine cooler, a vase, a fruit bowl, magazine rack, toy storage etc.

I seriously love your site.. Great colors & theme. Did you develop this website yourself? Please reply back as I’m hoping to create my own site and would like to know where you got this from or exactly what the theme is named. Thanks!

Hi Todd, We designed it ourselves. It’s a shopify and wordpress hybrid. We’re really glad you like it!
