When asked to pick his favorite shop in New York, our first Limited Edition designer answered without hesitation. Homage is located in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, and just opened its new location at 64 Bergen Street. Originally a bit of a hole in the wall, Rory has yet to visit the shop’s new larger locale. Size is no matter though, as when asked why he loves Homage, Rory says, “It has a great atmosphere. They have so much cool stuff and it’s all very accessible. It feels like a real neighborhood skate shop.”

We asked our first Limited Edition designer, Rory Panagotopulos, for some of his favorite skateboarding objects and his list doesn’t stray too far from home. All three items are either in daily use or well worn regulars.
This month’s Limited Edition designer, Rory Panagotopulos has an eye for animation. Among many other short, funny animations that can be found on his website Gum Drops Go, his most recent work is this hilarious animated horror story about a trip on the subway gone terribly awry. The piece was created for the Upright Citizens Brigade theater show Animated Stories hosted and produced by Todd Bieber. The true story is written and told by Anthony Atamanuik.

Rory Panagotopulos is an illustrator and animator living in New York City with very close ties to Lin Morris: He follows Ali on Twitter, and he is also my boyfriend. After studying graphic design at Connecticut College, Rory decided he would put his love of art and design to good use by trying to make people laugh. His work as a comedic writer, performer and animator has been seen at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City, MTV, CollegeHumor.com and espn.com.
We are so excited to introduce Rory as our very first Limited Edition designer. His Pop Skateboard Decks are delicious and we’re in love. Too much information? Or not quite enough? Read on for our Q&A with Rory, which covers his Lin Morris design, his favorite drawing subjects and his skills as a skater.
