Made from solid, untreated Maple, this simple collection of round and rectangular trays by Swiss designer Simon Kämpfer for Italian brand Zilio A&C can also be turned upside down and used as chopping boards for preparing, serving and presenting food. The Urban Billy tea set was sent over from Australian designer Elliat Rich, and it delights me, not only for its beautifully transparent and functional design, but also because it forced me to Google the term “Australian Billy.” (See below for one image result)
French designer Caroline Gomez has playfully turned her eye to food presentation with these beautifully simple, yet artfully quirky serving boards. Each board is crafted in France and made from beech wood.
Swedish designers Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune, known collectively as studio Claesson Koivisto Rune, have designed a beautiful little tea set for Toronto-based store Mjölk (meaning milk in Swedish and pronounced ‘Mi-yelk’).
