Our friends over at the new London-based design studio Brose~Fogale launched their debut product at this year’s Salone del Mobile in the form of a flat pack valet stand. Convenient and flexible, the Camerino can be simply propped up against the wall in a bathroom, bedroom or in the hallway providing the perfect place for prepping and preening.

These five elegant lighting designs by legendary Italian designer Gino Sarfatti were all designed between 1951 and 1971 but could all easily pass as pieces that were launched for the first time this year - a testament to Sarfatti’s talent.
As captivating now as they were then, the designs have all been brought back to life as part of a collection called Edition No. 1 by Italian brand Flos that was introduced earlier this year.
This modular tabletop series by Netherlands-based designers Earnest Studio and Dana Cannam Design combines decoration with function. Made up of marble, granite and wood components that connect with embedded magnets, All Of A Piece can be arranged into various different configurations.
Exhibiting as part of Tokyo-based design collective 6474 Design, Japanese designer Tetsuo Shibuya presented this smart and simple piece of wooden hallway furniture in Milan earlier this year. Read the rest of this entry »
