The Dancing Joachim by Quiet Studio
Designed in Singapore and made in Japan by ceramic company Kihara Inc., the Singapore Icons Studio Project sets out to identify new symbols for Singapore.
British designer Sue Pryke began her career in the Potteries over 20 years ago as a designer at Wedgewood and has since developed homeware collections for IKEA, John Lewis and M&S. In September she launched her own line of tableware, which is all made in collaboration with small factories and makers across the UK.
Having run for nine days and played host to over 300 exhibitions and events, the 2013 edition of the London Design Festival came to a close on Sunday. There was no shortage of design to see and we had many favourites including these new products by young Norwegian design duo Vera & Kyte.
