Armchair FK10 Weissenhof, 1926

The flexible FK12 Forty Forty tables can be used individually as a handy side table or stacked together to create a versatile shelving system. You might be surprised to learn that despite its modern appearance, Ferdinand Kramer designed this powder-coated steel table in 1945 during his time in America. Forty Forty is a significant example of Kramer’s fascination with the variability and adaptability of multi-purpose furniture.

Designed in 1926 for the private residences that were part of the “New Frankfurt” housing programme, the FK09 Westhausen sofa represents Ferdinand Kramer’s visionary and enduring design aesthetic.

The FK10 Weissenhof armchair was designed in the same year for the Hausrat GmbH. This generously proportioned chair boasts clear and confident lines and a wide, deep seat.

In 1952, 26 years after the introduction of the FK09 sofa and FK10 armchair, Kramer presented the FK11 Senckenberg daybed as an extension of the range. The daybed was part of the furnishing for the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main.
