This intriguing set of photographs by UK photographer Brendan Austin explore the emerging urban landscapes across the United Arab Emirates. The works focus on the edges of the cities and the stark constructions that are rising up from the sand. Brendan says that the challenge was finding the right locations – ones which gave some distance with no obstacles in the way, which entailed stopping on motorway bridges, driving into empty construction areas and hanging from empty buildings.
