This inspirational film follows the story of knife maker Joel Bukiewicz of Cut Brooklyn who discovered his craft after taking a break from his former career as a writer. He describes beautifully what it means to make things by hand and how it’s provided him with a new way of life.

“I think some folks getting into it think that there’s this great opportunity, that the streets are paved with gold in the hand made world – it couldn’t be further from the truth. Where the currency is really rich is in community, in the friendships that you develop, that you can do what you want to do and not be bossed around. That’s where it’s rich, in quality of life.”
