Multicoloured concertinas of steel! German photographer Nick Frank has captured these magical images of the Mira Munchen Nordheide shopping center in Munich, Germany. Completed in 2008 by Chapman Taylor, the design features a zig-zag steel facade that changes colour depending on the viewing angle.

Plissee sideboard by Anne Boenisch

This year’s trade shows have been packed full with ombre effects and saturated colour, and we thought this sideboard by Berlin based designer Anne Boenisch combined the two very nicely indeed. The polyester plissé fabric that forms the doors, slides open through a brass rod set inside the oiled oak wood frame.

Pleased To Meet

I met German brand Pleased To Meet at the Paperworld trade show/stationery heaven earlier this year. The studio is run by Berlin based duo Daniela and Marcel – Daniela is the designer who creates the brand’s wonderfully whimsical illustrations.
