If you are wondering why we’ve been a bit quiet of late it’s because both halves of Lin Morris are currently enjoying some time off. So we thought that these images by one of my favourite photographers, Slim Aarons, were quite fitting – sadly our holidays are not quite on the same scale of glamour.

Slim Aarons made a career, in his words ‘photographing attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places’. Spread over the course of 5 decades from the 50s to the 90s, his work gives us a peek into the decadent lives of starlets, royalty, mavens, moguls and aristocrats relaxing on their holidays.
