I saw this fancilful floating bridge in the latest issue of Elle Decoration last week, and I was surprised to read that it has actually been built. Called ‘Pont de Singe’, the bridge is an art installation by French artist Olivier Grossetete that is currently on display at Tatton Park’s third biennial of contemporary art.

This year’s edition has been entitled ‘Flights of Fancy’, and the exhibited works, by various artists and writers, each explore the human urge to reach for the impossible and the wonder of aeronautical innovation. The works are all displayed around the park, gardens and mansion of Tatton Park in Cheshire until 30 September.
