Royal College of Art student Sam Weller is currently exhibiting this set of portable percussion tools at the RCA graduate show. The tool kit enables street buskers to spontaneously make music anywhere by attaching these wooden clamping devices to everyday objects.

Vibrations from street furniture, architecture and public transport are created and then amplified.

Public Resonance was part of a wider project sponsored by Yamaha Design Studio in conjunction with the RCA that we featured on the blog back in September when it was exhibited at London Design Festival 2011.

The Royal College of Art Show 2012 runs until 1 July.
