I would love it if Spanish street artist Nuria Mora would visit my little corner of London and brighten it up with one of her brilliant wall murals. Her work can currently be seen adorning city walls across the globe including those of Cairo, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Paris – and now also in Johannesburg.
It would seem that Nuria is also an origami expert and her paintings often grow into amazing 3D sculptures like the one above that appears to be bursting out of the wall. Also see the floral painting below where the flowers look as if they have actually sprouted out of the wall.
I love the way that Nuria uses colours that are inspired by the surrounding environment, creating subtle interruptions that seem like natural extensions of the landscape. See more of her inspiring work on her website here.
