This colourful image caught my eye today while I was perusing the home and gift hall at Spring Fair in Birmingham. It belongs to a ceramics company called Mateus who are based in Sweden but make all of their products by hand in Portugal. They describe their collections as a combination of modern Swedish design (note spot on styling) and Portuguese craftsmanship – the best of both worlds.
