These stunning handmade prints are the latest work of up and coming textile surface designer Phillippa Copping, who exhibited her work last week at the New Designers graduate exhibition in London. The designs are a colourful mash up of bold African-inspired tribal patterns and exotic flora and fauna.

As part of the design process, Phillippa took small sections from detailed drawings, broke them down and then pieced them back together in an exciting way to produce abstract, geometric compositions.

Each sample in the collection has been hand printed using traditional screen printing techniques and stencils.

The project was created as part of her BA Textiles and Surface Design degree at  Cleveland College of Art and Design.
