Today I stumbled across the amazingly intricate work of American artist Diem Chau. She usually works in porcelain but I have to say these Crayola wax crayon sculptures really caught my eye.
Unfortunately these works of art don’t come cheap, the 12 symbols of the Zodiac shown at the top of this post will set you back $4000 from the Packer Schopf Gallery in Chicago.
The high price tag didn’t stop U.S Cellular from melting down a set of her sculptures for their 2009 commercial promoting their Believe in Something Better campaign (below). The sculptures were melted down and then played in reverse to create a magical crowd of Crayola people.
