These colourful wooden tiles, inspired by the architecture, shapes and forms found in Islamic culture and architecture, are one of the more unique surface designs that I’ve seen recently (and that’s said after spending two days at the world’s largest flooring show). They are the work of young, Dutch designer Charlotte Wagemaker, who graduated last year in 3D Product Design from HKU School of the Arts in Utrecht.

One exhibitor that we always enjoy seeing during trade show season is Ferm Living, a Danish brand who always present a beautifully put together collection of accessories, textiles and wallpapers with bold, graphic designs.

Shown here is the neatly styled imagery of their new spring summer 2012 range that features a bright and summery grey and rose colour palette, mixed with light, Scandinavian wood. Enjoy!

From Italian design co-op Ex.t and Swedish designer Sigrid Strömgren is the Collage Cabinet, a mix between contrasting geometric shapes, materials and colors. The cabinets are modular and allow you to create a custom unit to fit your needs.
