We spied this clever design by Anna Blattert for Swiss brand Postfossil at the SaloneSatellite in Milan last week. The Stir It is a simple, lo-tech infuser for making flavoured water, iced teas and fresh lemonade. The ingredients, such as fresh tea leaves, herbs and slices of lemon, are placed in the sieve, sealed with the cork stopper and then left to infuse.

Colour Porcelain for 1616 / Arita Japan at Gallery Rossana Orlandi

Dutch designers Scholten & Baijings were without a doubt my favourite designers at Milan this year. I’ve already written about their furniture for Karimoku here and their project with MINI here, and now I’m going to rave about their porcelain collection in collaboration with 1616 Arita / Japan. To be honest, they could put their signature style on pretty much anything at this point and I would love it, however this is a truly beautiful pairing.

I’m currently in High Point, North Carolina, covering the High Point Market, and with the Lin Morris excitement around Milan, it’s easy to forget our true love for vintage. Bobo Intriguing Objects has become one of my must-visits while in High Point, for its rummage-able mix of authentic antiques and reproductions. I especially like their power in numbers mentality when it comes to lighting and decorative accessories, setting groups of like-items together, creating a new identity for what otherwise might be an underwhelming or easy-to-miss piece.

The ombre colour effect on the San Francisco stools by Swedish designer Åsa Agerstam is inspired by the blended colours of the cocktails her parents used to make in the 1980s – namely the San Francisco cocktail.
