PADAUK (pterocarpus soyaxii) AFRICAN WOOD 35x45cm

Green is the colour that is typically associated with trees, however when Dutch design studio Raw Color and paper craftsman Leo Hoegen of Papierderij captured the colours of different tree species in paper form, the results ranged from salmon pink to warm yellow. Called Paper Shades, the project resulted in a beautiful set of hand made papers that each preserve the unique colour of the tree species they are made from. Narcisco by Giorgia Zanellato

I don’t usually go for bling, but Narcisco, a new series of vases by Giorgia Zanellato, shines on in all the right ways. With the intention to magnify and celebrate the flower, Zanellato uses mirrors and facets to turn a flower into a kaleidoscope of color and pattern.The vases are made in borosilicate glass, powder-coated alluminium and mirrored stainless steel.

Shoes made from
palm leaves

These slippers, designed by Dutch designer Tjeerd Veehoven, are made entirely from the leaves of the Areca palm. Palm leaves are a great natural resource that are grown every where around the world. Their leaves are inherently tough, strong and flexible, very much like leather.
