These dramatic explosions of colour may look like underwater creatures from another planet but in actual fact they are just splashes of ink dripped into water. Taken from his series Aqueous, Aqueous II and Aqueous Fluoreau, London based photographer Mark Mawson drops brightly coloured inks into a water tank and captures the dramatic dispersal using strobe (specially angled lights that act as a flash). See the full set on his website.
